Easy and Quick Homemade Tawa-Pizza

When you plan to make vegetarian pizza at home you just need the base, the pizza sauce and the toppings with cheese. Also I realized that many are not comfortable using yeast or are allergic to yeast here I bring you a recipe that doesn't require oven or yeast.

This rava pizza is so instant and you can just make it effortlessly in no time. Pizza recipes are not native to Indian cuisine but have been widely accepted and appreciated. The traditional pizza recipes are made on the oven which is not something common across Indian kitchen, hence to solve this problem, I have posted this recipe on the pan in a gas stove cook top. I have used semolina or upma rava which not only makes it healthy but also a tasty alternative.  

 Ingredients :

For Dough:

  • Rava  3 cup
  • Buttermilk  3 cup
  • Rice flour 1 cup
  • Eno  1 packet
  • salt to taste
  • Water  2 cup

For Toppings;

  • Chopped Onion
  • Chopped Tomato
  • Chopped Shimla Mirch
  • Boiled Corn
  • Small Paneer Cubes
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Oregano
  • Chilly flakes
  • Mozzarella Cheese

Your choice of toppings with as per your requirement.

Method:

  • In mixing bowl add the rava, then add the rice flour, Add Buttermilk, then add salt as per taste and mix it all in.
  • Then add some water and mix until you get a smooth thick batter which is still at pouring consistency.
  • Now cover it up and keep aside for 15 mints.
  • After 15 mints the rava must has soaked up the water and is still at pouring consistency.
  • Now add 1/2 tsp eno fruit salt and mix gently. do not over mix or rest the batter after adding eno.
  • To prepare marinate paneer cubes, In small bowl take paneer cubes and which is marinated by chilly flakes, some oregano, pinch of turmeric powder, pinch of red chilly powder and 1 tsp coriander powder.




  • To prepare sliced and roasted tomatos, shimla mirch, onion and boiled corn.
  • Heat the tawa and grease it with tsp of oil.
  • Pour 2 ladleful of suji batter and spread uniformly.
  • Cover and simmer for 2 mints and until the batter is cooked well from bottom.
  • Pour 1 tsp oil and  carefully flip over.
  • Spread in 3 tsp of Pizza Sauce.
  • Top with 3 tsp of mozzarella cheese.
  • Also top with Sliced Onion, Sliced Tomato, Sliced Shimla Mirch, marinated paneer cubes, Boiled Corn.
  • Now Sprinkle Chilly Flakes and Mixed Herbs or Oregano.
  • Further top with 2 tsp Mozzarella Cheese.
  • Cover and simmer for 2 mins, or until cheese melts completely and pizza is cooked completely.

Finally, Slice it and enjoy Quick Tawa-Pizza.😋
