Maharashtrian Traditional Spicy Snack Bakarwadi Recipe

 Welcome Guys, I'm amruta, How are you??, So guys I come with my Maharashtrian Traditional Spicy Bakarwadi Recipe, It's very simple recipe and so delicious snack.This spicy snack is an all time favorite of the Marathi people and is a must make for festival. This snack is easily available in market ,too, But it is always pleasure to try out new recipes at home, especially when this are not specific to your region, Let's have a look at how it is made

Ingredients:

  • Maida (all purpose flour) -1 cup 
  • Besan (bengal gram flour)- 2 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste , hot oil (mohan) 2 tbsp
  • Grated dry coconut
  • Fennel seeds 
  • Cumins seeds
  • Coriander seeds
  • Sesame seeds
  • Chopped Ginger
  • Chilly Powder 
  • fresh Green Coriander Leaves
  • sweet tamarind- jaggery chutney
  • oil for frying


Method
For Dough:
  • Take maida in bowl ,add besan ,salt  and mix well
  • Take hot oil 2 tbsp (mohan) , Water add them and make dough 
  • dough make is tight  and stiff and not make sought and cover it for 20 mins.
For Stuffing:
  • Take fennel seeds, Cumins seeds, Grated dry Coconut, Chopped Ginger, Sesame Seeds, Coriander seeds and chopped fresh Coriander leaves
  • Add salt as per taste, 1 tbsp Sugar,Chilly Powder
  •  Roasted them and Grind by grinder but not make Thin paste.
  • It's make Thick stuffing.
For Frying:
  • Roll One portion of dough into big circle like as a Chapati. Keep the Circle's edges is thick
  • apply sweet Tamarind-Jaggery chutney on circle , Guys  I already Posted This Tamarind -Dates-Jaggary Chutney recipe, It's very simple.
  • You can search my post of this Sweet Tamarind-Dates-Jaggery chutney and try for bakarwadi.
  • Guys You can spread Thick Shev on sweet chutney,  But I'm not use shev because  It's not available in my kitchen for wadi .So If Shev available in your home then you can use in stuffing .
  • The grinded Stuffing spread out over on the Rolled circle.
  • Press stuffing by using rolling pin (Belan) across.
  • Fold the Rolled circle in circular motion.
  • Cut into pieces as per your requirement , cut pieces into small or big shape.
  • Cuts all pieces are little press side of stuffing portion due to stuffing not spread into frying oil and proper seal edges. 
  • Heat oil on medium flame for frying
  • Deep fry Wadies on law flame.
  • And serve it .
