Welcome Guys, I'm Amruta , I come with my recipe is 'Crispy and Fluffy Medu Wada'. These is very easy and simple recipe. Medu Wada is a South indian Fritters. Ingredients:
- Urad Dal -3 bowl
- Rice -1 bowl
- Cumin's seeds
- Fresh coriander leaves
- salt as per Taste
- Oil for frying
- Take Urad Dal - 3 bowls and wash it with water for 2 times and also Take Rice 1 bowl with water, wash it.
- Transfer urad dal into big bowl and take rice separately into bowl
- Soak urad dal and rice 🍚 in about 3-4 hrs.
- After soaked urad dal and rice, strain the soaked through sieve and drain all water.
- Then urad dal and rice add into blender jar and blend into little coarse paste.
- Do not add any water while blending or use minimum water while blending.
- Transfer the blended dal and rice 🍚 into big bowl.
- The batter should be thick, The right consistency is very important or otherwise, you will not be able to get the wada shape.
- Add fresh coriander leaves, cumins seeds, salt as per taste to the batter, You can add green chilly, ginger, dry coconut paste. I'm not adding this contents, but you can try to this ingredients to batter, mix it very well.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan in medium flame, wet your palms and take a lemon 🍋 size batter.
- Make hole in the center and slide it into the hot oil.
- The wada should float on top of oil. Fry it on medium flame. Your oil is not too hot, otherwise wadas would not cook evenly.
- Fry on both sides till it becomes golden brown in color.
- Serve the hot medu wada with sambar or chutney.
