Rava dhokla is quick, instant and easy to make and it is made of just rava, This vegetarian recipe can become a better snack option, which you can make and eat anytime. Rava dhokla can be made at home without much effort. You can add curd into rava . It's light, healthy and nutritious snack.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Rava
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1 Chopped Green chilly
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tsp Eno fruit salt (Lemon flavored)
Recipe:
- Take 1 cup rava in mixing bowl. No need to roast rava, Use it raw only.
- Add 1 tsp lemon juice and water to make a medium consistency batter, neither too thick not too thin and mix well. Keep aside for 15 mins.
- After 15 mins add 1 chopped green chilly and salt in rava mixture. Mix well.
- Add 1 tsp Eno fruit salt (lemon flavored), Pour 1 tsp water to activate eno and mix well together.
- Take Aluminum Tin or pot, Grease with oil inside the pot or tin and this mixture pour into oil greased pot.
- Add some water at the base of cooker and remove the ring and whistle from cooker lid. Preheated cooker
- Put the pot or tin into the cooker on medium flame.
- Close the lid without ring and whistle. Cook for 20 mins.
- After 20 mins Gas off, take for cool.
- After cooker is cool down, Open the lid and take the pot out and insert a toothpick on the center of the dhokla.
- If it comes out clean it means dhokla is steamed well.
- After dhokla is cool down, Loosen the sides with the help of knife.
- And transfer into plate and cut the dhokla into pieces or You can cut the dhokla in same pot, no need transfer another plate.
- Heat oil in pan for tadka
- Add mustard seeds, Cumin seeds, Hing and Green chilly.
- Pour the tadaka on the dhokla
- Garnish with Coriander leaves and served with tamarind chutney or green chutney.
