Quick Breakfast "RAVA -DOSA"

 Welcome Guys,  RAVA DOSA is very easy, nutritious, Healthy and delicious Recipe. This Indian breakfast made with Rava(semolina), Rice flour, Ginger, Green chilies, Cumin seeds and curd.

RAVA DOSA is Instant dish and Quick recipe as compare than traditional Dosa.

Traditional Dosas are made by soaking and blending rice and lentils to a batter. This is then fermented overnight and then make dosas, This is 2 days process, But RAVA DOSA recipe is made in few minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Rava 2-3 bowl
  • Rice flour 1 bowl
  • curd 2 tsp
  • Green chilies 2-3 nos
  • Ginger 2 inch
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Chopped onion 1 no (optional)
  • pinch of sugar and baking soda
  • salt as per taste
For Tadaka:
  • Oil, mustard seeds and cumin seeds  
Recipe:
  • Take 2-3 bowl Rava and 1 bowl Rice flour, Add water into Rava, stir it constantly and avoid any lumps, consistency will be not much thin and not much thick. Keep aside for 5 mins

  • Add water into mixture to make medium thick batter
  • Take Curd, Green chilies 2-3nos, Ginger 2 inch, Cumin seeds into mixer jar and grind all.


  • Grinded mixture add into Rava batter. mix well.
  • You can add chopped onion, this is optional,But I used in my recipe chopped onion 1 no, Salt as per taste and pinch of baking soda and sugar.

  • Mix very well.
  • Heat oil in pan, Add mustard seeds and Cumin seeds for Tadka. When they are starts pop up then gas turn off. and This Tadka transfer into rava batter.
  • Mix well together
  • If batter is too thick and you require water in rava then add some water and mix well. To make sure that it has thick consistency.
  • Heat same pan on medium flame, which for using tadka.
  • Grease oil on surface on tawa.


  • When tawa is medium hot, reduce flame to law and pour a ladle full batter and spread into circle with help of ladle.


  • drizzle 1 tsp oil around the edge.
  • Cook until color of top surface changes from white to off-white and bottom size turns light brown for approx. 2-3 mins.

  • Flip it again and cook to 2 mins
  • Transfer into the plate and Serve with tomato ketchup or green chutney.



Tip : 
  • You can adjust consistency of batter, Runny batter or very thin batter creates Porous texture, Consistency of batter determine of the texture of RAVA DOSA.

Maharashtrian Breakfast - " Green Moong / Green Moong Dal Dosa"

 Welcome Guys, I'm Amruta , I come with very easy and nutritious dish " Green Moongdal Dosa". It's One of the healthy dish, which is rich in proteins, high in fibers, has low calories. So you can try to this recipe at home.

Ingredients:

  • Soaked Green Moong / Green moong daal as per your requirements.
  • gonger, green chillies , cumins seeds
  • salt as per tast
  • pinch of baking soda
  • curd
  • Rice flour
  • Rava
  • water 
  • as needed little suger, fresh coriander leaves

Method :
  • Soak the green moong or green moong dal overnight. then next morning drain the excess of water from moong/ moong dal. grind the green moong dal/ green moong in mixer to make fine paste like we do for dosa batter, and transfer into big bowl or pot.
  • add rice flour and Rava into mixture of green moong/ moong dal. 
  • add grinded paste of ginger, green chilies,cumins seeds and curd 
  • add baking soda , little bit of sugar , fresh coriander leaves
  • salt as per taste, mix properly 
  • adjust the consistency of the batter by adding water.
  • Heat the tawa, and Pour batter onto tawa and spread it in circular motion into a thin layer like a dosa.
  • Cover Dosa with the lid so that it cooks properly on medium flame. add oil on either side and flip it and again add oil to the dosa .
  • cook till its gets cook nicely from both sides.
  • Your moong dal / green moong dosa ready to serve.
  • Eat it with coconut chutney or fresh curd or tomato ketchup.

Maharashtrian Snack - "KANDE BHAJJI"

 Welcome Guys, I'm Amruta, How are you??, So guys I come with Maharashtrian snack recipe "KANDE-BHAJJI", My Grandpa's Most Favorite dish than me😊,  and its so easy and delicious and it's make enjoyable in rainy season.

Ingredients:

  • Besan 1/2  bowl
  • Rice flour 2 tbsp
  • finely lengthwise chopped onion 1 bowl
  • salt as per taste 
  • as needed little turmeric, little chilly powder, ajwain, water
  • pinch of soda (optional)
  • oil for frying bhaji's


Method:
  • First finely chopped onion and add into salt and mix very well and keep aside for 10 mins. because salt is leaves water in onion. and no need to more water.

  • Add 1/4th tsp turmeric, 2 tsp chilly powder, 1/2 tsp ajwain, salt as per taste, soda (optional)
  • Add 2 tsp Rice flour and Besan 

  • You can add sesame seeds.
  • Now while mixing, If you need some water you can add for binding.
  • Mix very well and need some water to add into mixture, The consistency is not too thin.

  • Heat oil  in kadhai .


  • Start putting bhajji's with hand directly in oil, keep flame on medium.
  • Fry till golden brown, and take out on tissue paper.


  • Fry some green chillies seperately and sprinkle salt on them and keep
  • Eat Hot kandabhajji along with chillies
  • Serve maharshtrian snack and enjoy with rain.


So Guys, This memorable dish for me, because of My grandpa's most favorite dish, and My grandpa just died 2 days ago, But His memories live with us, We always miss him😌.

Maharashtrian Most Popular Traditional Breakfast- "KANDE-POHE"

Ingredients:
  • Oil 3-4 tsp
  • Flatten Rice( Pohe) 2 bowl
  • Chopped onions 2 
  • Green chilies 3-4
  • Chopped Potato 1
  • Peanuts 1/2 cup
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves 5-6
  • Turmeric powder 1/4th tsp
  • Sugar 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Chopped fresh coriander leaves 

Method:
  • Take pohe (flattened rice) in the bowl as per your requirement.
  •   Add water in poha and washed them. 
  •  Left out all water from pohe.
  • Take kadhai on medium flame, add oil into kadhai
  •  After heated than add mustard seeds, Cumins seeds.
  • When they starts crackle, add curry leaves, green chillies and onion,  Chopped potato
  • Sauteed them very well.
  •  Cook while it gets golden brown colour.
  • Add into peanuts, mix it well and cook up to 3 mins,  then add turmeric, sugar mix well,  add Pohe and salt as per taste and Mix everything together and cover it, Cook about for 2 mints,  then again mix it well.



 For garnishing :
  • Fresh Coriander leaves , fresh grated coconut and sev garnishing on pohe,  squeeze lemon over the pohe and serve it.

Maharashtrian Simple Thalipith Recipe

 Welcome Guys, I'm Amruta, How are you?  So Guys, Let's see my easy Maharashtrian recipe, It's very easy to make and can be prepared in many ways, Its make my way, it's healthy and so yummy and do not forget like, share and comments.

Ingredients:

  • Rice Flour, Besan, Jawar flour, finger millet flour(Nachani Flour) and wheat flour in equal quantity.
  • Chopped onion  1/2 bowl
  • Chopped green chilies  5-6 nos.
  • Ginger and garlic cloves 
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp.
  •  Curd (Optional)
  •  Salt as per taste
  • Water as per required.
  • Oil for cooking thalipith
For tadaka:
  • Oil
  • Mustard seeds
  • Cumin seeds

Method:
  • Take in pot, rice flour, jawar flour, finger millet(Nachani Flour) this contents are in equal  measurements as per your requirement. add rava and mix it 

    Take ginger and garlic cloves, green chilies , cumin seeds, curd (optional)
     
    transfer into grinder and add cumin seeds

Add turmeric powder

Grind it to make fine paste


  • Add slow water into this pot while mix flours together, it mix everything  together, it in should not be any lumps.



  • Add chopped onion in this batter ,batter should be neither too thick and not too thin, consistency is very little amount of thick.



  • Add fresh coriander leaves, salt as per taste.
For Tadaka:
  • add oil in  small pot and heat on law flame, after that add into mustard seeds, cumin's seeds then this tadka put on this batter and mix again everything together well.



For preparation of thalipith:
  • To take tawa, put on gas and its heated on medium flame.
  • Add oil spread on tawa, after oil heated then batter by big spoon put on heated tawa, and slowly spreaded in round shape and make able to flatten shape on tawa and cover it by plate and cook until gets golden color .





  • Then flip and let it cook 3-4 mins.


So Guys, ready Thalipith to serve with curd or you can serve with sauses or any chutney as per your requirement.
